36 ARCH100C | UC Berkeley | Fall 2022 Dream Projection creates a world of dream traveling. It is a hybrid of the ephemeral and the solid, nature and technology, abstraction and realism, historicity and futurity through aesthetics. And the world-building is a response to the way that the built environment is often experienced as background noises. The landscape is a carrier, and the dream is the connectivity to this world built upon histories that have been memorized thousands of times and futurities that have been speculated thousands of times. The sensing never stops, therefore, the world never stops evolving, deforming, and self-duplicating… until it has estranged itself from its own. The project is complemented by a film of dream traveling . The information gathered from the trip is condensed into the image to visualize the episodic dream as a whole, and sequential memories are collaged and spatialized into the model.
